Voices of the (603) Scholarship Award
PURPOSE: To provide a $1,000 Inspirational Optimist memorial award in honor of Dylan Palmer (1991-2021) to offset educational costs for a student who has a connection to New Hampshire a cappella and is forever an optimist.
AWARD COMPONENTS:
The Dylan Palmer Voices of the (603) Inspirational Optimist Memorial Scholarship for Leadership is named for a special man who passed too quickly in February 2021. Dylan was an avid beatboxer who once went “mouth to mouth” with Pentatonix’s Kevin Olusola. Dylan was a former student body president and residence assistant (RA) at UNH, a business and psychology major, and founder of “Off the Clef” a second co-ed a cappella group at UNH who has been a Voices of the (603) partner from the beginning. Dylan was a clinician at Voices of the (603) and was one of the most well-liked clinicians. Dylan left behind a young family, who were his inspiration.
CRITERIA:
- Applicant must be a seeking educational opportunities.
- Applicant must have a connection to New Hampshire a cappella
- Applicant must be a positive force (an inspirational optimist).
APPLICATION PROCESS: (APPLICANT MUST SUBMIT)
1. Completed application form.
2. Application addressed to the Scholarship Committee. The letter should contain a brief explanation of career goals and biographical (background) information. For the award, please describe your optimistic/dynamic qualities, goals and successes to date, and hope for your future.
Deadline for application is October 1, 2021. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
